    Anytime you have massive speculation, its a clear sign of a market top. We certainly got that in spades. This time is no different.

    Where did you see the data?

    Ok, but that is too general a statement to be of much benefit. What specific criteria do you use to define and quantitate "massive speculation?" What rules do you follow to close long positions or to open short positions?

    When a meme alt coin is at record highs being touted by billionaires who found a loophole - outside of the SEC's jurisdiction - that could be one helluva a sign that the smart money found some suckers.

    Ya, I'm quite surprised that Elon Musk could have pumped Dogecoin so much with zero repercussions.

  6. Is this a serious question??

    Absolutely, but you can't use 'seemingly' wisdom like that for much. The time you spend outside of the market once you reach your ambiguous threshold for 'mass speculation' may well cause you to underperform.

    Why wouldn't he? Dogecoin is not a security. The SEC can't even do an investigation on it.

    Exactly;
    it sure called the top in May.
    MAY 2019, + plenty of bottoms , in 2019, 2020,2021.So above average volume on a weekly QQQ sure means something, either its going up or going down, generaly speaking.
    But SPY can go up or down/top or bottom on average spec volume. Another good reason to watch volume......................................................................................................

  10. Very true, and that scares me immensely. But we also have the federal government and the fed going all out with stimulus and printing money, no end in sight, and all that money has to go somewhere - that goes the other way. :)
