Obamacare's first death panel victim may very well be Kathleen Sebilius

Kathleen Sebelius, welcome to an unwelcome Washington tradition: The deathwatch.

It’s Kathleen Sebelius’s turn now. On the Hill, they’re calling for her resignation and tossing around words like “subpoena.” Pundits are merrily debating her future. (She’s toast! Or is Obama too loyal to fire her so soon?) Her interviews, more closely parsed than usual, seem wobbly. Though never a colorful presence on the political scene, she’s suddenly a late-night TV punch line.

And on Wednesday morning, the embattled secretary of health and human services will submit to a quintessential station of the Washington deathwatch — testifying before a congressional committee — to discuss her agency’s failings in the botched rollout of the federal health-insurance Web site.

  2. I don't see it. If she was a republican under a republican president, yes, of course, she is toast. But the hard left sticks with their people, particularly when they are loyal soldiers like she has been. She is a dogged defender of late term abortions, being one of the few people who backed the notorious Dr. Tiller the Baby Killer before he was shot dead like a rabid dog.

Even if she is forced out, she will waltz into some highly paid university presdiency or equivalent position.

  3. Democrats; fun to watch sometimes... the Medical Cartel wrote the ACA. News was out when it was being written about how the lobbyists were actually doing the production work. Democrats want to take credit for it because it's so good for their voters but they have to take credit for the botched nature of what they've been stuck with...

I'm guessing that a ghetto dweller that is loyal-for-life to the Democrats will have the same medical care as any hard worker from now on out. The Democrats will just ride out these initial problems with the help of the MSM. I was in a waiting room with CNN on a tv and they were selling the ACA really well.

Nothing can really stop the Democrat/Marx thingy except the economic meltdown that is so obviously going to happen sometime in the not-too-terribly-distant-future. It's possible that after that happens we can get back to limited, constitutional government. We are most certainly getting trodden on by the Medical Cartel and it's been ongoing for many decades. Maybe we can write in an amendment to protect our medical freedoms and short circuit this socialist s%^t...

  4. Doubt it... unless she needs to be sacrificed to direct blame away from Odumbo.

No sane person is going to blame Obama for technical problems with a website rollout. He must take responsibility, but not blame.

Unless the technical problems with the website rollout were conveyed to Obama ahead of time, and he responded with "roll it out anyway".

You really should put down that bottle of rye whiskey and take your nose out of Obama's ass.

'What do they call that in court? Oh yeah, "speculation".'

Obama Lied and Media Credibility Died.

    By Ben Shapiro

On Monday evening, NBC News reported that President Obama wasn't just wrong, he was willfully lying when he said that if Americans liked their insurance plans, they could keep them under Obamacare. "(T)he administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them," NBC News reported. To clarify, that's some 7 to 11 million Americans.

The administration, NBC News said, had known all of this since 2010. Even as President Obama repeatedly told the American people that nobody had to lose their insurance, he recognized that millions would lose their insurance. But just as importantly, the Obama-defending media knew all of this years before the 2012 election ... and they downplayed it or ignored it altogether.

In June 2012, PolitiFact, a supposed nonpartisan fact-checking site, said that Obama's "if you like your health plan, you can keep it" language was "half-true." The media routinely ignored President Obama's provably false promise.

"...Any person with a scintilla of gray matter has to admit that Obama is not a leader. A charismatic, likable guy who with the aid of a TelePrompTer and his magnetic personality can motivate his base into thinking the sky is green and screaming obscenities at those who disagree with them.

But a leader he is not. When something goes wrong, a true leader steps out front and takes the blame, fixes the problem and moves on. Obama hides behind his press secretary and other minions, ignores problems and moves from disaster to disaster knowing that his sold out sycophants in the media will cover for him...
