  1. Hello

Trying to research this but wanted to reach out to the audience for additional insight.

Immediately AFTER the above elections (after the actual election date itself, typically this is November 4 to 8th) what cap-size (small, mid, large) ETF's and stocks did the best for the following 1-6 months? the worst?

    Thank you

I can tell you only that in 2017 the market had a great up year, and in 2021 the markets had a good up year.

The 2020 pandemic that started (for the markets) in March, was also a banger, if you were on the other side of the lockdown in...What was it, May? June? When the Fed dropped rates to zero in an instant?

But then came 2022, and the Fed's Banhammer.

    WHOMP!

Last 3 election cycle Sept-Dec performance:

    Year Sept-Oct Nov-Dec
2020 -6.5% +14% (part of this was the Pfizer/mRNA vaccine)
    2016 -2.2% +5.2%
    2012 -0.1% +0.8

The 2008 performance is too mixed in with the Lehman collapse so it wouldn't be useful.

Will everyone please stop comparing ANYTHING to 2008... please? WTF! That was a different era! For crying out loud!

March and April 2020 were more severe! Breakers trippped 4-5 times if memory serves! Remember April 20, 2020, when CL went negative?!?

Smartphones were barely a thing back in 2008! Stop the madness comparisons to 2008! It is a whole different world now!
