  1. What are your thoughts on prop firms , is worth to trade for prop firms or is better to trade with your own capital in futures markets ?

By the way, Topstep's $150K account doesn't mean they put $150K into your account. Instead, it means they provide $150K worth of buying power to use for margin. Initial max loss limit = $4K, and daily loss limit = $3K means your actual leverage should be much smaller.

  5. Even with my tiny account equity, I can trade over $1m FX notionals...how the heck can you make decent PL with 150k trade size in FX

Less risk with prop firms. You do a challenge and then have access to much more capital in terms of allowed max. drawdown than with trading on personal account. But of course if you trade a large personal over $1 million US Dollar then those props have no added benefit for you anymore. It is about risk capital.

Topstep is for futures tradings only.

APEX is best for futures, but wait for the 90% discount to enter. Usually every second month there is a 90% discount. For FX and Gold, FTMO is best in town.

I know my topic looks like I started trading today actually I trade for like 6 years and I discovered prop firms like 2 years ago and I still don’t get any withdrawals from them .

    Futures are leveraged as well.

To buy 1 ES contract with the low margin brokers you need $500, the notional value of 1 ES contract is currently around $238K.

Same for FX futures, for 1 6E (EUR/USD) contract the margin requirement at AMP is $525, which equals to over 1:230 leverage since the $ value gained or lost per pip equals to 1.25 ($125,000) spot FX lots ($12.5 per pip).
