Reducing store hours is counterproductive

    • Lots of stores and shopping malls are reducing their hours.
    • But this is counterproductive because people have less time to shop and the malls will be more crowded.
    • They should be extending their hours to spread out the shoppers over a longer time frame.

I dont think this logic applies in a panic. Extending hours means less time to restock and clean.

But the real question is do they make ... cents.

It's the same concept as a double talking politician. They tell you to do one thing but on the other end they make that one thing impossible. Classic draconian inverted thinking.

Exactly! Stores should have maximum customer counts instead. Rest wait outside in orderly queues.

Waiting outside in queues defeats the purpose.
