Is anyone doing it? I'm referring to private traders, not firms obviously.
    Thanks.

Absolutely! Plenty of private futures, forex, and equity traders are doing it.

We support a wide range of trading platforms — you can check them out here: https://www.quantvps.com/platforms

What platform and markets are you trading? I might be able to give you a more specific recommendation.

does remote desktop really faster than direct connections?

How are you defining "direct connection"? If QuantVPS can get you less than 10ms from Chicago or NJ and your server or desktop PC is located overseas or on the west coast, yes, much faster access. If by direct connection you mean hosted at NY4 with a cross connect, that is much faster and a multiple in cost.

i mean from my local computer remote login to qvps, assuming in an average wifi/cable speed.

why would you want to do this?

  9. Yeah, what's the point of a 600ms ping to the colo?
