I'm already using IBKR and it's API with Excel, and it's great. The only thing is that some data from NYSE isn't available. Does anybody have any experience with this API? What can it do? For me, I would just like to be able to stream the same tickers/data that ToS has into Excel.
I do not have direct hands on experience with Schwab API but... I do have lot of dev wrk I have done over the years with APIs to collect and work with data... 1. First, please check out Reddit reviews / Info on Schwab API (I always check criticism FIRST for developer anything areas) and other website reviews. 2. I read an article on Medium, back when a bit ago, and it has links to OTHER info on Schwab API by video and GitHub and more. Might be of help. Link to MediumArticle Hope this Info Helps... and... I appreciate all your former comments/posts on PREM, HFTs, Portfolio Risk On/Off, Bonds vs Equities, Arbitrage, etc.... As you suggested to another ET member back when, I'm reading through all your back posts slowly... It is true that reading back dated ET posts on well thought out ET members is valuable. Edgy...
Hey glad to hear you finding some of it useful. I have used ET as a way to catalog some of my "findings" after doing research into stuff. Partly so I can go back and review things when I need to, and partly because others might benefit from it. I wish there was someone like me on here when I was a total noob. Some of the guys on here can be tough to get useful intel from, even if they have millions and tons of pro tools and sh1t. You could call it "tough love" but a lot of insider stuff (I call it "industry knowledge") is jealously guarded and secreted away behind NDA's and "trade secrets" or "proprietary" protections. IMO, the best guys on here are samelazyelement/slowlearningelf/sle, bone, and destriero/poopy/convex/atticus or whatever. The first, is an obvious PM or MD. The second claims (i think credibly) Transmarket Group, and the third, well his reputation precedes him. Thanks for the links/info.
