Has anyone successfully sell ESTX50 Box? I try to sell 1 contract and on my offering has never been shown on the Bid and Ask on IBKR, even though my offer is much better than the existing Ask (i.e. much lower). I wonder why?
I just sold 1-year ESTX50 Box at a rate of minus 0.49%pa just now (for Euro10k loan I was paid Euro49). I can't wait to see the cash report tomorrow to see exactly on the account. Sold another 1 year Box and got paid Euro50.
I've bought a Box. Should I exercise my ITM options on the last trading day or is it automated by IBKR?
automatically settled by IBKR. can you share here at what price you achieved the trade at for which maturity and what amount?
It's embarrasing. I've made a mistake and traded the opposite. Paid 5066,96€ for a ESTX50 3750-4250 Box ending the 19NOV21. That's why I'm asking if IBKR will bring me back 5000€ automatically or is mandatory to exercise ITM options on the last trading day. 66,96€ is a small loss, but 5000€ hurts more.
Take it as a leaning process. Your €5,000.- will be credited back in the account when the box ends in Nov. Meanwhile please check if your securities account accrues interest expense if you don’t have Euro to begin with?
It looks like selling a bigger amount ESTX50 box will save more on the margin capacity of an account. ie Big box is not linearly bigger in terms of margin requirement compared to a small box. Is this a correct assumption?
