Senator Padilla tells it straight. He was in the room well before.

    1. The conference was in a secure federal building in LA.
    2. He was waiting a scheduled briefing with members of Northern Command however they were at the Noam conference a few doors down.
    3. He asks his escorts ( like any federal building you go through security) a member of the National Guard and an FBI agent, if he can go to the conference, they escort him over.
    4. His escorts open the door for him and obviously the whole press corp already know who he is.
    5. He (sits or stands?) behind a camera to the side so he out of the way of reporters.
    6. He is there for a few minutes and his escorts are close to him.
    7. He started speaking and we have video from there. Presumably stood up, first.
Just watch the first four minutes.

He has his two escorts to put under oath.

He did not barge in uninvited. He entered with escorts, sat behind the camera crew, and stayed out of the way for several minutes.

The alternative narrative that he “barged in without identifying himself” does not hold up.

I'm no expert on the procedure at these types of news conferences, but I doubt if you can start to walk toward the speaker and expect nothing to happen.

I saw that yesterday, not impressive. Let’s be clear, when you’re in a secure building, escorted into a closed room by FBI and National Guard, wearing Senate logo attire, polo neck, the idea that a Senate security pin would even be relevant is frankly dumb of him.

I’ve worked in highly secure police HQs as a contractor for years, I'd normally expect to see lanyards and big badges but that's not needed when you have escorts.

The distance from the camera he was trying not to block to the first row of seats, where he’d have stopped, is just a few steps for a tall man. Not a “rush.”

A proper security detail will absolutely notice someone entering like that, especially if they’re being escorted. In a secure federal building, everyone is pre-vetted and accounted for. Peculiar however is that his escorts seemed to do nothing useful.

So when they claimed he "burst in and rushed Noem" that’s horseshit. The real issue isn’t just the securiy staff overreacting. Noam and others doubled down and lied, exaggerating to fantastic.

It was proper and normal for him to interrupt, especially expected as she hit a high note in her propoganda. If it turns out that they tacked him despite knowing he was the Senator, a possibility these days, that’s not just bad optics, it's a very big deal.

Here we are, his own camera paints a different picture. I see Padilla's forwards motion as stopped, exactly where one expects somebody interrupting to stop and speak.

Padilla wasn’t seeking access, "bursting in" he was already inside a secured room, escorted by FBI and NG, in a secure federal facility.

Whether he was wearing a pin, a Hawaiian shirt, or a bathrobe is beside the point, his presence was authorized and known. And it's also not the fucking Senate? An investigation needs to check how so many federal agents didn't know the Cali state senator.

Carter Evans' comment is foolish really and odd from a fairly typical normal correspondant.

Spy's dumbass memes however are par for the course. Jordan Peterson telling him to tidy his room must have been transformative.

Padilla was like a bull in a china shop. That's obvious to anyone w/ eyes.

Doesn't matter who you are, at a press conference, you raise your hand and wait to be called on.

What a fucking attention whore idiot! He has no excuse for his behavior. There's no way to whitewash this Tux, sorry.

This is a test. To see how the country reacts. Its one step closer to Trump arresting all the democrats in Congress.

Trump isn't very original. We've seen this playbook before.

No. He was not. He barged in the room and was belligerent to the point of rushing Governor Noem. As a Senator, he should have acted like a decent human being and showed respect. There are lots of witnesses to his bad behavior as all Democrats tend to do in front of the cameras. They think they are scoring political points which they are not!

@spy when smallfil and the rest of the cabbage patch are on your side, you are wrong and you know it.

Now, my fingers are bleeding from playing a lot of guitar last night at a party and I need to tend to that so I can punch Nazis later today. Handy I don't have fingerprints now.

    Senator Padilla...sounds quite Star Wars.

    Meanwhile World War III begins.
The attack on Iran was planned with US help one year ago.
It's either Israel or Iran, there can be only one.
Hey NATO or Lindsey Graham, now you get to fight Russia when it supports Iran.
Hey MAGA, now you get to fight China when it supports Iran.
Hey Deep State you made problems to rule over, now it's spinning out of control.
