Share of Americans living paycheck to paycheck rises to 63%

As of November, 63% of Americans were living paycheck to paycheck, according to a monthly LendingClub report — up from 60% the previous month and near the 64% historic high hit in March.

Even high-income earners are under pressure, LendingClub found. Of those earning more than six figures, 47% reported living paycheck to paycheck, a jump from the previous month’s 43%.

“Americans are cash-strapped and their everyday spending continues to outpace their income, which is impacting their ability to save and plan,” said Anuj Nayar, LendingClub’s financial health officer.

Getting everyone so addicted to cheap debt was some kind of cruel joke. Money was cheap for so long it became so normalised.

Many people are going to be forced to learn some financial discipline.

Same sort of thing happens to traders:

"After a man makes money in the markets he very quickly loses the habit of not spending. But after he loses money it takes him a long time to lose the habit"

Have a few big winning years in a row and you start living larger, you forget what it was like to be poorer, then the draw down years come..

  5. All by design. I told people for these past two years that the scamdemic was a covert attack against the middle class, but most people called me crazy.

Just checked my bank account, after my mortgage payment, credit card bills and all the expenses, I will have exactly $66 left by the end of this year. LOL So yeah you can see I am one of those that are living paycheck to paycheck. LOL Can't believe how accurate this report is.

Well my mortgage payment and all the charges haven't hit yet. They are going to hit on Dec. 30 so I guess I will have $66 left by the end of this year. I don't mind posting my bank statement here but everything is going to be heavily redacted so I don't know if you will believe me still. I am not joking either.

Dude, don't worry about redactions. There are many sleuths here, and will figure out whether what you post is true or not. We don't give a shit about profit or loss. We care about outrageous statements. YOU are the one claiming you are living paycheck-to-paycheck. If you claim you lost it all and have 66 bux left in your account, we want proof of that.

Profit or loss does not matter. We want to see the TRUTH!

It's my personal bank account. Not my trading account so it's not going to show my profit/loss. LOL Sure. If you want to see it, I will post it, here to this thread. I don't mind. Watch for it during the beginning of January. It will be my new year's gift to you, something real. LOL
