    Who decides what?
So if one of you yoyo's live in NY, you have to hand over your ET handle.
That'll cut down on a few purchases I bet.

Gun applicants in New York will have to hand over social media accounts

As missed warning signs pile up in investigations of mass killings, New York state is rolling out a novel strategy to screen applicants for gun permits. People seeking to carry concealed handguns will be required to hand over their social media accounts for a review of their "character and conduct."

It's an approach applauded by many Democrats and national gun control advocacy groups, but some experts have raised questions about how the law will be enforced and address free speech concerns.

Some of the local officials who will be tasked with reviewing the social media content also are asking whether they'll have the resources and, in some cases, whether the law is even constitutional.

  2. i dont see this getting very far. In theory it is a nice idea to make sure the guy posting "i am about to kill everyone " doesnt get a gun but covers so much vaguery and ambiguity and difficult to implement. Also...nut jobs will just use secondary acounts and turn over the clean ones haha.

  3. Apparently some dems are walking around saying: "Gee, I have not had my arse handed to me by the courts enough lately, let's do this some more."

    Tards gotta tard. But..but......Kavanaugh.....Clarence Thomas........

NY Hood would be an interesting case.

  5. The law enabling social media snooping, might have unintended consequences too.

I might be able to use some of the hate mail I get on the forum to justify my need for a concealed carry permit.

Getting very far? This shit is DOA. All the applicant has to write in the application is "I do not use social media."

    Game over, man!

Yeah, until they contract with someone like PLTR to handle the verification checks. You can't hide Ocho, unless you throw away that phone. Then you might as well be living in the 18th century.
Is what it is. We're China, the only difference is we just outsource the spying to private contractors to get around the 4rth Amendment.
