So how much did the Iraq and Afghanistan wars cost?

The U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will cost taxpayers $4 trillion to$6 trillion, taking into account the medical care of wounded veterans and expensive repairs to a force depleted by more than a decade of fighting, according to a new study by a Harvard researcher.

During FY2013, the federal government collected approximately $2.77 trillion in tax revenue.

 

There is also the cost in lives.

 

But we are safe from Saddam's WMD. Well worth the cost! Oh wait...North Korea, Pakistan, Syria and a host of other countries have WMD. Ahhh, nevermind.

And Obama blew $1 trillion on his Porkulus package and nobody knows where the money went.

 

They cost infinitely less than the epic failure of the decades long war on poverty.
