asked in options but will ask here. It seems to me that SPY is preferred for short term trading vs. QQQ. I assume that is because SPY is more diversified and not so tech heavy. As well it is somewhat less volatile. I guess if I had to do just one it would be SPY. opinions?
Instead of assuming and guessing, post your backtesting stats for both the SPY and the QQQ, and then we’ll provide objective answer.. You haven’t done the backtesting, have you? Which is why you’re asking. In other words, if you want to be a trader, you must do your own research and not rely on others to spoon-feed you. I can guarantee you one thing: until you begin to treat trading as a business and not as a hobby, you won’t succeed.
talk about day trading futures ES NQ RTY YM YM tends to be a little less volatile. ES NQ - not much different in volatility So No point splitting hairs.
