the insurance industry started with a few ship owners who pooled their money in the form of premiums to pay damages to any unfortunate ship owner who lost a ship due to sinking. And it has worked very well now for two centuries. But you had to prove you were a responsible ship owner to be part of the pool. Bernie and the democrats want everybody to be part of the pool without any responsibility. I know this is over your head, so spare me the ??? reply
in otherwords, to be part of the pool, you have to show me that you are doing everything in your power to make sure you never have to file a claim.

so the communist democrats want everybody to pay and receive benefits as they see fit. Us conservative libertarians are more than willing to pay a small premium (as long as it is not so much and too high to affect us that much) to insure that anybody who is also trying like us and falls on hard times is not wiped out.
some people are happy and comfortable as individuals others are scared and only feel comfortable when they are a member of the group
