TC2000 as my "complete" software

  1. So over the last few weeks I've been bouncing between TOS, Tradingview, Tradestation, and etrade pro. Obviously this is causing me a headache and distracting me from focusing on trading. I am trying to get some feedback on my idea/thoughts:

Tradestation is great, but data is expensive, and I lose an hour of trading every morning since they don't start until 8am EST. And the customer service is extremely slow.

TOS - Im ready to use something different, but have always liked TDA as a full service broker. Debit card, bill pay, etc. But again, tired of the issues with TOS platform.

Tradingview - Love the platform, but in order to take full advantage of it, I still need to purchase data through Tradingview even though I pay for addtl data through Tradestation. Doesn't make sense.

Which brings me to TC2000. I think its my absolute favorite piece of trading software I've ever laid eyes on. But I cant justify paying the trading fees to use TC2000brokerage.

So I am thinking of ditching tradestation, paying the monthly fee for gold through TC2000, and using TDA for order execution. Im not missing out on fills or anything by not being able to trade directly from TC, so switching between the apps isnt a big deal.

    Feedback on this idea. Thanks!

  2. If you liike to use Tradingview with Tradestation, and you are international csutomer (1$ minimum commision) , you will pay zero commision to Tradestation.

  3. I really like TC2000 for charting vs the others you mentioned. I am pretty sure they clear with IB on the trading side. Their pricing is tough for trading vs. IB PRO or one of the free players. Best combo that I found is just use it for charting then your broker of choice for execution. I asked TC2000s support for adding level II / time&sales but that is not likely to happen.

Tos is the best free charting out there for me but it works half of the time so can't only have one.

  4. Yeah I'm not international. Thanks tho!!

  5. Yeah it's IB. And it's 4.95 commission per trade. So there's no way I was doing that.

Basically what I've decided to do is this:

For my intraday trading I'll be using level II through TOS and order executing through TOS.

For charting and scanning I'll be using TC2000.

For after-hours study work I'll continue to use tradingview.

    Thanks for your input!!
