CHARLES CITY, Iowa -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about Benghazi, and now voters will "administer a spanking," which is how Cruz disciplines his 5-year-old daughter when she doesn't tell the truth. "What happened in Benghazi was a national disgrace," Cruz said, responding to a question from a voter on Friday asking how the Republican presidential hopeful would hold those accountable for the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Cruz said Clinton, then secretary of state, knew the attack on the U.S. consulate was related to terrorism, but instead, publicly blamed the violence on some "ridiculous Internet video." "We do know Hillary told her daughter Chelsea, 'Well gosh, I knew it was a terrorist attack,' while she was out there telling American people it wasn't," Cruz continued. "In my house, if my daughter Catherine, the 5-year-old, says something she knows to be false, she gets a spanking," Cruz said, standing on the bar of a local shop here, looking into the crowd. In the Democratic primary, Cruz said voters have the opportunity to hold Clinton accountable. "In America, the voters have a way of administering a spanking," Cruz said with a smirk. "I can tell you this: As president ... there will be accountability for Benghazi."
Now, to know his chances, we need to count the number of parents among registered voters. Most parents believe "a good spanking has never hurt a child" and in "spare the rod, spoil the child". Damn!!! When I think in my school year, at the top of my homework book to be signed by parents were this saying "spare the rod, rot the child"! lol

I don't really care if he spanks his kid or not. I am not going to support him because he is a Canadian.
Hah...it's your vote, of course. I just find it funny when people choose to support, or not support, candidates based on things other than their platform.
Personally, I would like the supreme court to show some balls and make a decision on this. They felt free to rewrite the constitution on gay marriage and they rewrote obamacare and tortured words to make it constitutional... its about time they actually tell us what the constitution itself means when it comes to natural born citizen. I would actually give them a little more respect... if they did this. If Cruz were to be president... he should not have to worry about NBC and MSBC and all the other anti constitutionalists ... going all "non NBC" on him. However, I will say I am surprised how even handed some of the coverage of this issue has been so far. I am surprised how many experts have stated he is most likely eligible because his mom was American when he was born. Frankly, I have no idea how they know this... as this court does not seem to be all that constrained by reasonable jurisprudence.
