What a lot of these up and coming kids these days don't understand is how different things were in the Chinese toilet game in the 2009-2014 years.

Nobody knew how things were gonna go down. Up was down, down was up, bad was good and believe me you didn't want to cross some of these harder characters in Toilet Seating.

It wasn't like today where you could just go to any old store in Shanghai and pick up a wooden toilet seat. No baby, these were uncertain days. What would be the outlook for us? Nobody knew. Would Dave McNamara and those bastards at McGinty Plastics exporting sauce up some Chinese execs and take our lunch or would we keep moving these puppies to the tune of 52X margin a piece?

Well my friend. We didn't know and we didn't care. As long as the wooden toilet seats came in everybody was happy. The coke was pure, the women hot and you never knew where any night would take you.

But then, things got dark. Darker than our Mahogany-#23 Contoured Wooden Toilet Seat (made in Cleveland, believe it or not). We started seeing cracks in our shipment line as some of the local business muscle moved in on us. The bills came, the headaches mounted and we realized that this was the beginning of the end. The market bifurcated after that and a lot of the high margin players lost out and we were eventually pushed out for a cheap domestic manufacturer.

But every time I drop a solid deuce through the wooden hoop of one of our toilet seats, I can't help but think back on China 2009-2014
