Which is the best brokerage firm for the combination of day and swing trading ? I am considering the following factors in no particular order :
    1) Commission
    2) Features (Stock charting service, Research sources)
    3) Customer service
    4) Order execution
    5) Overall ease of using the website

    Thanks, in advance.

I'll recommend checking out TradeStation.com. I have used E*TRADE and DatekOnline (now TD Ameritrade.com) but find these web-based brokers impossible to daytrade and commissions are high.

TradeStation has extensive online video tutorials, and a nice Simulator Mode to participate live in the markets.

If you need extensive hand holding by a live person, I would stay away from TradeStation, you might turn blue waiting for a live person to pick up.

  5. check out Noble trading...they say they have a platform for

both...but whatever you choose make sure you get a direct

access platform for day trading!. Im sick of some d-bag coming on

ET and being like oh scottrade or some broker isnt good for day

trading....YA, cuz they're not a direct access broker!. Well good

    luck

No waiting, courteus, knowledgeable staff. Good website. The only downside is a half decent day trading platform.
