I am from China. The struggle between China and the United States is becoming more and more intense. The House of Representatives proposed that once Taiwan is recovered, China's assets, including individuals, will no longer be safe. it is really crazy. . . So it seems like my assets in US Securities are also at risk, right?
What do you mean by "once Taiwan is recovered"? That China invades Taiwan? In any case there is going to be a war so no, your assets are not safe. Your best case scenario is sometime in the future recovering them through the courts assuming there is a civilisation left and you are alive after diplomatic relations normalise. Search for executive order 8785 to start with. Everything will be frozen. Xi and the world would be best off focusing on China taking over Russia as it is doing and forget Taiwan. There is a lot of Russia, it's a pretty good deal. Then we might all survive until the general AI singularity.
You mean after the war? Don't worry, Neo Cons just like to bark. Everyone's for sale, you could buy the whole country.
This is the correct answer. Taking Taiwan would have to be done with total destruction by missiles at present. While China is actively developing a better invasion fleet via sea it does not have the capability to launch an effective sea invasion of Taiwan right now. It will take years for China to build up that fleet.
There WILL be a war between China and US in our life time, if not over Taiwan then something else. Move your liquid assets out of the country, hard assets like home you keep refinancing to the limit then default when the conflict comes. The worse case is to think about Japanese camp in WW2, round up folks and leave them struggle.
A war between China and the US would take place at sea. China doesn’t want anything to do with the US Navy.
And neither Taiwan, will sit idle during that time, singing ~kum ba yah~, waiting for Chinese troops landing on their shores.
And you think their missiles keep missing the target? One battle group has over 7500 sailors, pluse the Japanese ships. But I can agree with you that the Chinese probabaaly is not going to first strike with US Navy ships, unlike the Japanese.
