anyone done this already ? the LG CX oled 48" seems like an ideal monitor replacement it's 4K Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) BUT I am concerned that TWS/Mosaic won't benefit from 4k hdmi 2.1 monitor hooked up to an RTX3000 series graphics card. Anyone tried this monitor out please?
I considered 4K, but 48" would be too big unless I sit pretty far back. Probably somewhere around 38" would be ideal for 4K and that would still likely feel too big.
yep progress doesn't come cheap. we've had a good year on the markets and this seems like it's a reasonable expense unless, other than the high cost, you can see a reason not to do it?
I once tried a large monitor for trading but decided to change it back to multiple smaller monitors (i use multiple 27" monitors), with trading you are looking everywhere on the screen, from center to edge to corner to top to bottom, so ideally you need every bit of information at the same distance from your eyes to limit the strain on your eyes. With a very large monitor that close to your eyes, refocusing every time i had to look at the edge or corner to read some charts or tiny letters hurt my eyes and i even got a headache from it. I went back to multiple monitors in portrait mode, you can place them in a curve and that way all information is more or less at the same distance from your eyes which i find much more relaxing for my eyes over time. Like this for example: *Not my setup, just an image i found on Google. **This isn't some hocus pocus, it has been proven that a curve can reduce strain on the eyes, of course only with very large screens like in a cinema or at very close distance like with a monitor.
