Best debate I have seen in a long time.

I have to go to my son's school so I can't watch the last few minutes...
but I was surprised how well most of these Rs did.
I may have even adjusted my low opinion of Rubio up a bit.

I liked Rubio and Fiorino. This Trump is a complete joke. Jeb was horrible too.

It actually went much better than I thought it would.

Carly did well. Others made some excellent points.

The audience was hand selected, imo. Trump is crushing the polls and barely mustered a reaction. Stragglers pushing neocon talking points won huge applause. They also won applause parroting Trumps agenda (immigration enforcement) and didn't applaud trump for same.

I'm feeling like we've experienced "peak Trump".

  6. I think Carly Fiorina really performed last night. She was downright surgical.

Trump began as a clown but then simmered down. Did you see his goofball facial expressions and mannerisms early in the debate? In any event, he was among the low substance debaters last night.

It will be interesting to see what the next set of polls will look like.

If there is an underestimated candidate in this race, I think it's Carly. The obvious overestimated one, of course, is Trump.

  8. The leftist media establishment got just what they wanted out of this debacle. Most of the debate was adolescent minded insults, with Trump being Trump, an asshole. Carly and Christie were head and shoulders above the rest. The entire group should have walked off the stage after the first 10 minutes. That would have made a better statement about who they are and just how tired of the same-o same-o media nonsense. It was a cluster F of nonsense, just as the left planned it.

  9. On the contrary. I think the reason Trump barely mustered a reaction is precisely because the audience was not "hand selected." That, and his actual "contribution" to the debate.

Christie was a bit hypocritical on the Hillary email issue, when he, himself, is guilty of using a Yahoo email account throughout the bridge scandal. He's a windbag.
