Biden needs to be out there giving press conferences daily showing leadership w/his presumptive CDC director countering the nonsense downplaying from the WH.

Polling, approval ratings, and elections the last 3 years suggest otherwise.

No chance Trump wins the US preparation for the virus was delayed and poorly planned for. Your medical system can't handle much more then the current numbers. Lot of people going to be unhappy even if things settle down soon. Until the US has less class inequality, every crisis will remind the masses they aren't doing well under the current US economy and lack of adequate social programs. Trump clearly cut needed programs but spent lavishly on dubious projects. Huge government deficit makes responding to the inevitable breakdown of your social programs difficult to deal with. Canada might not be perfect but we were in a much better position to deal with this on every level.

Democrats can run almost anyone and win at this point. The fact he's considering a female running mate is a really smart move going against Trump.

I initially thought that this would really hurt Trump's chances at a second term, but now I'm not so sure. He slow-played this initially, but his early travel ban to China is looking more & more like a great move. It appears that the U.S. is doing a good job of flattening the curve. The latest polls I've seen show that the majority of our population approve of his handling of the pandemic.

We'll have to see how the next few weeks play out and how quickly the economy starts to recover when we move past the worst of this. At this point it's difficult to tell how it will affect the coming election.
