Trump says giving 'baby bonus' payments to mothers 'sounds like a good idea' Trump: 'Baby bonus' payments for moms 'sounds like a good idea' USA TODAY An idea to give mothers a "baby bonus" payment got support from President Donald Trump as his administration attempts to increase declining birth rates in the United States. When asked on April 22 if he would consider giving American mothers "some kind of bonus" when they have a child, the president told reporters it "sounds like a good idea to me," before quickly jumping to another question. When questioned about the proposal, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told ABC News that Trump is "proudly implementing policies to uplift American families." When questioned about the proposal, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told ABC News that Trump is "proudly implementing policies to uplift American families." "The president wants America to be a country where all children can safely grow up and achieve the American dream. As a mother myself, I am proud to work for a president who is taking significant action to leave a better country for the next generation," Leavitt said, per the outlet. Trump pledged to be the 'fertilization president' Previously, Trump has been a proponent of raising childbirth rates, with him even signing an executive order in February aimed at increasing access and affordability for in vitro fertilization, also known as IVF. "Today, many hopeful couples dream of starting a family, but as many as one in seven are unable to conceive a child," reads a White House statement posted in February. "My Administration recognizes the importance of family formation, and as a Nation, our public policy must make it easier for loving and longing mothers and fathers to have children."
Problem with this idea is that it's generally the low income people who it appeals to. Alot of those probably aren't in a position to raise good Kids.
well you have a point - but those people seem to have kids regardless, maybe at least they can put some of the money back into circulation for products that are produced here in america.
lol, fed already has transfer payments to states child care and development programs, and on 1040 has child credit deduction per filing. each state has social services to administer the grants. what do you expect cheetos to know? absolutely nothing.
If Trump don't mind the skin color, then take down the wall. White folks like fun and don't want responsibility of raising children. I may sound racist, but it is what it is. I borrow from President Bush about the economy on human population, "Once that suckers come done, it's done!"
MAGA's luvin a Prez that likes to spend and loooooooooooves debt. LOL Fricken' world completely turned upside down. Party like its ........... 2029. Only question I have is, will brokers be jumping out of windows again?
There is already a lot of inter-racial marriages in the US for a long time now. A lot of kids now coming from mixed race families although, you probably, do not recognize them as being of mixed race. A lot of them fair skinned so that, average Americans see them as white kids. I agree that today's feminists have destroyed family values where they would rather abort a baby than take care of it. Most modern women have the wrong values and do not take care of their kids properly which is why these kids have huge psychological problems when they grow up. They are the ones engaged in mass shootings everywhere.
The most amusing thing about this Trump "baby bonus" payment is the firestorm that it set off across the MAGAsphere. Several MAGA commentators have come out immediately saying that this payment would simply promote welfare mommas to have 10 kids so they could collect $50,000. Others demanded that the payments only be available to married heterosexual couples in order to support "family values". Across the internet people noted that the monthly cost of day care is very expensive and a mere $5000 is next to meaningless when compared to it -- effectively not impacting a family's financial decision to have a child or not. Which immediately caused the MAGA commentators to state that women should stay home with children and not work -- only men should be working. More sane voices in Congress stated that the government should simply increase the size of the yearly child care tax credit in your federal tax filing in order to promote providing additional money to families that have children. This is the existing mechanism in place that allows it. However the Trump administration opposed this because it would not allow Trump to attach his name to it like the $5K payments calling them the "Trump Baby Bonus" and similar names which clearly give Trump credit for the entire thing. Politics in play. The reality is that this initiative will come to nothing. It might lead to a larger increase of the federal child care tax credit with action from Congress however.
It's not that I have not stayed in the US before. As a college student, I stayed in Euclid Ave, Columbus, OH 43210 for 4 year. It's on the east side of High Street and a mixed area. Most US cities are split in black and white area. I think that's normal. Birds of the same feather flock together. BTW, I had my JVC mini compo snatched away from me. During summer, someone tried to get into my room through the window. As society progress, population decline e.g. Japan. US will not able to avoid this problem. As you have mentioned, most of the social problem is due abnormal family upbringing. Please don't blame it on the women. Men should play active family role too. By removing legal abortion, the poor maybe force to have kids where they are ill prepared for. The society is screwed.
