Ways to load thinkorswim 1 minute chart data for more than 1 year ago

  1. I've been using thinkorswim for a while and recently I've been trying to trade a new strategy. I want to be able to look back for more than 1 year ago for 1 minute chart but I just cannot find a way to do it. I'm not looking for 1 minute chart a decade ago. Just want to take a look of recent years.

Is there any way I can load more historical data to my chart or import it from other sources? Thanks!

That is an enormous amount of data to load. Just from regular trading hours that is over 97K data points.

  3. Look back function.. You can find how to use it in TOS library's too, easy

Top right corner of the main TOS window

  4. It seems that if I change the time interval to above 180 days, the corresponding aggregation type also changes from the minimal of 1 min to 3 min. And if I change the time interval to above 360 days, the minimal of the aggregation type also changes from 3 min to 5 min.
I want to see 1 minute candle furtherback in the the past. Is there any way I can set it up?
    Thanks!

  5. Use On Demand function, pars it out to lower time frames and choose month you want to see, probably much less that 180 days at a time,

Also chat TOS for help with it they can direct you
