We’re gonna build a wall And Mexico’s gonna cut through it

Trump built the border wall prototype with the same quality as all Trump construction.

“Smuggling gangs in Mexico have repeatedly sawed through new sections of President Trump’s border wall in recent months by using commercially available power tools, opening gaps large enough for people and drug loads to pass through, according to U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the damage,” the Washington Post reports.

“The breaches have been made using a popular cordless household tool known as a reciprocating saw that retails at hardware stores for as little as $100. When fitted with specialized blades, the saws can slice through one of the barrier’s steel-and-concrete bollards in a matter of minutes,.”

“After cutting through the base of a single bollard, smugglers can push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the gap. Because the bollards are so tall — and are attached only to a panel at the very top — their length makes them easier to push aside once they have been cut and are left dangling.”

Always have been ridiculously vulnerable, anyone who has worked with steel knows what a masonry diamond blade will do to both steel and concrete, though you would use a grinder for the steel first. Many of his supporters of course know but playing dummy.

I guess this puts to rest the myth that drug smugglers only use ports of entry to cross the border. This proves that our border needs to be more secure.

If the current design doesn't work, it should be changed. I would think that a precast concrete wall with multiple layers of welded rebar & razor wire would work much better. That might not be cost effective though.

I especially like how CBP, Trump's defacto Gestapo, refused to obey the FOIA requests concerning these findings.

  6. Better still, pull the military out of the ME and station them on our southern border (we're already paying those guys)....and have them secure the border with a WALL OF LEAD!!

All of this pussy-footin' about the border. If they REALLY wanted to close it, they would. But apparently they don't really want to but need to make it look like they're "doing something" to appease someone. Politics, you know.

You mean the "myth" you just made up?

Anyone who has ever removed lally columns was just laughing at the idea and anyone who passed it should be fired.

There is a more simpler solution. Cut the freebies going to illegals (foreigners) and they would not bother coming! No more automatic citizenship to babies of illegals (foreigners), no more welfare, no more food stamps, asylum processed in the first safe country crossed. We need to elect more conservatives in the mold of Ted Cruz, Mark Meadows and not RINO liberals and we can start to take more control of our borders!

If you revise history, sure. The argument had always been the bulk of it was through ports of entry, making a major expenditure in enforcement where the minority of it crosses, an asinine decision.

The majority of hard drug seizures occur at legal ports of entry because we patrol them the closest. We really have no idea how many drugs flow across the border at easier crossing points. Some places have nothing more than vehicle barriers in place, and it's incredibly easy to cross the border undetected.

Now that we have hard evidence that they're using areas other than legal ports of entry to get their drugs across, it gives more credence to the theory that we need a more secure barrier in place to slow them down. Obviously we need something better than what's being installed. It's embarrassing to think they're spending billions on a wall that can easily be cut down with a power saw.
