What part of knowing your tools don't people get?

Servers go down. Quotes get frozen. MKT orders get rejected. The list goes on.

It is interesting that people get caught off guard by these things. Fast moving markets put stress on systems. Always have and always will.

    • How many times does one have to see this before they realize retail tools are not that reliable?
    • How long will people expect "star trek" perfection from retail tools?
    • How much did you pay for that tool?
    • How much have you tested that tool?
It seems like many don't even know what to test or what conditions to test under.

If one has not adjusted their strategies and tactic to account for the realities of retail trading and its tools, it is their fault. It is just another glaring hole in your strategy to fix.

I have known for decades, retail tools and trading the open or close is risky. Doing it on a high volume, critical time like a major test, is OBVIOUSLY not a good idea with retail tools and connections.

Hope people can take responsibility instead of complaining and blaming, because both of those things don't bode well for a successful trading endeavor.
