Hey everyone, I’m working on a daily trading news newsletter and trying to figure out what traders actually care about when it comes to staying informed. If you’ve got 10 or 15 minutes to chat, either here or over a quick call, I’d really appreciate it. Just trying to learn from real traders so I can build something that’s actually useful. Thanks, Tom/snakebap
in the immediate term: what’s really driving a stock price. What’s really driving the market. and within 2 seconds of the market moving. within 2 minutes some perspective on what is happening.
For FX I use newsquawk if you wish to pay its the same as the trading floors use, I use it but on a slight delay. I'm not selling, just saying.
Stocks and the general broad market essentially move the same way. And what moves the market daily, intraday, are a combination of variables and elements. It's news data, ranges, various considerations, patience, observation, up and down forces colliding, expectations, time, art, The market is only semi vaguely predictable, and you can only react in real time, accordingly. Not gamble ahead of time. To make money from the market a trader has to truly dissect it...not be a generalist working on loose averages
Markets don’t move because of news. They move because of cycles — patterns rooted in human behavior: fear, greed, euphoria, denial, panic. These emotions play out predictably, over and over. News is just the narrative that is misinterpreted as the cause due to confirmation bias. For the record you're gambling if you are reacting to intraday movements. You're gambling if you use stops.. Like I always say show me any day trade and I'll show you a poorly executed swing trade.
