Shortly after the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller in May, Acting Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe told several of the highest-ranking managers of the bureau they should consider themselves possible witnesses in any investigation into whether President Donald Trump engaged in obstruction of justice, according to two senior federal law enforcement officials.

McCabe has told colleagues that he too is a potential witness in the probe of whether Trump broke the law by trying to thwart the FBI's Russia investigation and the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

Two senior federal law enforcement officials have told me that the new revelations illustrate why they believe the potential case against Trump is stronger than outsiders have thought...

  3. Dow turns negative on report Mueller's Russia probe is intensifying
    • The Dow Jones industrial average held around 22,000 just one day after breaking above the mark.
    • Wall Street also set its sights on key employment data with the Labor Department scheduled to release the July jobs report on Friday.

  4. I fail to see how hearsay from Comey's fellow coup plotters is admissible or relevant. Comey's self-serving notes are not entitled to be admitted into evidence as business records either. Keeping notes so they could be leaked to the NYT was not part of his job. In fact, his actions raise far more questions than do Trump's.

Sessions has failed miserably at getting control of the FBI. McCabe should have been ousted immediately and a criminal probe into his conduct started. Comey's inner circle are at best demonstrated incompetents and should all be let go.

This is war and Sessions does not seem to have the stones for it. I bet Christie does though.

why would you be listening to this bratty sounding kid with a microphone? donnie boy... juxtaposed with that suit an tone?

his entire premise is suspect... there are many uses for a grand jury.

you might want to mention to him that since the House of Representatives moved to the Capitol in about 1800s that is where an impeachment would take place.

Here's what a grand jury does:
    • Review evidence, including witness testimony on behalf of prosecutors in the investigation of potential criminal conduct.
    • Issue subpoenas for more evidence, documents, and sworn testimony.
    • If grand juries decide there is enough evidence to charge the accused with a crime, they vote on whether to indict the person, opening the door for a formal trial.
    • Grand jury proceedings are conducted in secret. There are no judges and no defense counsel is involved No members of the public or press are privy to the grand jury's activities.
