This is absolutely hilarious and most likely false, of course they have to be extended, they only made a deal with 1 or 2 maybe out of hundreds of countries he placed tariffs on. If I stand correct I did hear many many many times that countries were calling the Trump administration to make deals left and right but it seems we haven't heard of any of these so called deals, this is absolutely fucking hilarious, no extension? I'm thinking these are just games they are playing because im sure july 7 or 8th or even the 9th they will announce another 90 day pause!!! They have to since all these wonderful deals they said they had aren't even real or wonderful because they don't even exist. It's all make fucking believe....

Trump says he’s not planning to extend a pause on global tariffs beyond July 9

The play is take profits before July 9th pm which might have to be July 8th to beat the rush. Then possibly rebuy commodity plays on any gap down. It'll be chaotic enough for markets to hate it on the open imo.

You are saying this whole tariff dilemma will be back in play causing more uncertainty?

Yes. Correction pause ends July 8th so I'll likely sell a ton of stuff July 7th. On the original tariff day I thought I was being smart selling 30% of my stocks but the news was so bad I should have sold 80-90%. That being said, I played the bottom well and everything is at or above the close on that tariff day now. Copper, Oil, and IT got killed last time. The lesson is no need to take the risk given Trump just isn't smart enough to act in a reasonable fashion. TSX tends to overreact to news with a gap down.

I just don't see a sell off. I think too many are expecting it where now I believe it won't happen, also he is saying he won't extend the pause. This news should have already sent down stocks by 2 to 3% and it didn't happen. So what will happen is since the markets know the pause won't be extended if there are headwinds and uncertainty next week with tariffs the first pullback related to no extension on the pause will have them announce an additional pause. So in reality this is a win win no matter which way you look at it.
