Trump, in a post on his Truth Social site, said he was “Ready and Willing to Debate” Biden. Hours later, Biden said he accepted an invitation from CNN, adding, “Over to you, Donald.” Trump said on Truth Social he’d be there, adding, “Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!” And soon after that, they agreed to the second debate on ABC. This is a meaningless debate. No one will be swayed in either direction. I mean Trump lost all the debates against Hillary & she still lost.
The Debate is too soon and Trump's gamble when he is already leading in popularity is flawed unless he had expected to become a convicted felon and thought requesting an early Debate would repair any damage to his popularity from the convicted felonies. Simply, Trump has a lot more to lose if Biden is strong and comes out the winner in the early Debate. Regardless, even if Republicans cringe and do not like how Trump performed in the Debate...MAGA will see it as a "great victory" and then we all will come to your conclusion...
