MAGA GOP is out of control with their slavish desire to please their orange god. Republican threatens to kill DC transit funding unless it names trains for Trump https://www.rawstory.com/congress-2672231066/ A Florida Republican is demanding that Washington, D.C., name subway trains in its transit system after President Donald Trump and, If it doesn't, he says Congress will cut funding to the public system shared by the district as well as the states of Maryland and Virginia. Fox5DC reported Thursday that Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) will stop funding the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) unless it changes the whole agency's name to the Washington Metropolitan Authority for Greater Access (WMAGA) — and renames the metro system the "Trump Train." "WMATA has received billions in federal assistance over the years and continues to face operational, safety, and fiscal challenges," Steube said in a statement on his congressional website. "In the spirit of DOGE, this bill demands accountability by conditioning federal funding on reforms that signal a cultural shift away from bureaucratic stagnation toward public-facing excellence and patriotism." Washington, D.C. is not an official state and, as such, the way the government is funded is radically different than its local counterparts. One example is that the budget of D.C. must be approved not by the mayor or the city council, as in other large cities, but rather by Congress. Steube believes that rebranding the DC metro would "promote efficiency, service quality, and public trust," according to the report. However, D.C. is known for its quality and efficiency in public transportation, according to one firm. The financial analytics firm SmartAsset used Census Bureau data to find the nation’s best public transit systems, putting Washington, D.C. at number one, the Washington Post reported. It's also known as a city with a strong anti-Trump sentiment. Washington, D.C., voted against Trump in the 2024 election to such a degree that he earned only 6.47%. Vice President Kamala Harris earned more than 90% of the vote. Steube cites events like the NFL Draft in D.C. and the 2026 FIFA World Cup games as the reason for the rebranding. The World Cup will take place in 16 cities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. One of the host cities is Washington, D.C. However, none of the other host cities have been threatened with funding cuts if they don't change the names of their public transit systems. Read the bill here.
Read the big beautiful bill, globalist NGO's should be concerned. Censored social media types will get a green light to sue commie platforms.
Trump's Messiah Complex demands that his cult of followers worship the ground he walks on. Trump's 'complex' makes him do one thing 'no president in history' did: expert https://www.rawstory.com/trump-god-2672234699/ President Donald Trump has a ‘messiah complex,’ according to experts that Politico spoke with. The outlet’s Michael Kruse asked, “Does Trump … think he’s God? OK, he almost certainly doesn’t think he’s God — but does he think he’s … God-like?” Or is Trump just “seizing an opportunity to stamp his world-upending agenda with the ultimate justification — a mandate from God?” “[Trump’s] political career depended on a hunger among his most dedicated supporters that can only be called spiritual,” Molly Worthen, a history professor at the University of North Carolina and an expert on the intersection of religion, culture and politics, wrote in her book Spellbound. Worthen went on to tell Kruse, “He’s a nihilist for whom the only source of meaning is the amassing of personal power, turning his will into personal, political, financial, and territorial domination, and that’s totally compatible with a messiah complex.” Professor of philosophy at the University of New England, David Livingstone Smith, said Trump is an “authoritarian leader [who] presents himself as a divine or messianic figure who is uniquely able to vanquish the forces of evil and make the world safe for the faithful.” He later added, “Trump is a sacred leader. His evangelical followers often refer to him as a ‘savior’ or ‘anointed one’ chosen by God.” Tim O’Brien wrote Trump's Biography in 2005. He believes claims Trump won the first presidency off The Apprentice. “[Trump] was a great dealmaker and an entrepreneurial guru as opposed to a serial bankruptcy artist and stumble----.” However his second win, O’Brien believes, “he got reelected in part on [being seen as] ‘the chosen one who survived the assassination attempt at Butler.’” “No previous president in American history has claimed that he was saved by God to enact his political agenda,” Jen Mercieca, the rhetoric expert, recently wrote. “Invoking the power of the unified people and God gives Trump an awesome and unquestionable power — whoever defies Trump is at risk of defying the people and God. It’s impossible to argue against Trump when he claims the power of God.” Kruse asked the White house if Trump actually feels “that he’s literally on a mission from God?” White House communications director Steven Cheung, “As people of faith, we are all on missions from God,” Cheung responded. “The President has the biggest mission — to Make America Great Again and to help bring peace across the world. And he’s doing just that.”
The worshipping and funding of Trump by America's billionaires is about to backfire on them. Now that he is in the President's office, Trump is free to dispose of them. Elon Musk will be up first and the other American oligarchs will follow. Their wealth and influence will be gone unless they bend the knee to every one of Trump's demands. Trump plans mass purge of rivals — with Musk's wealth first target: ex-ally https://www.rawstory.com/michael-cohen-trump-2672247489/
Trump is completely transactional. Once he was back in office, Trump's perspective is that it is just a question of how much more can he extract from these billionaires as he reduces their power, leverage, and wealth. If someone points out -- "What about their donations for the mid-terms and next Presidential election?" Trump does not really care... since he does not plan to hold future open and honest elections.
