What the 10 commandments or bible teachings will teach children is that (religious) hypocrisy in society is normal and acceptable. Case in point.
God did not need a rest after creating everything in 6 days, but he took one anyway, and hasn't done much since. Okay a flood, a plague or two, some swarming bugs, but nothing to taxing. Hey, it was a big job creating the entire universe. We all know how important recovery is after a tough workout.
