There has to something to this. I never understood why my cat always blocks the screen when I am in the process of watching pornography. I don't think it makes economic sense to consume carnivorous animals. It takes a lot more resources to raise cats compared to herbivorous animals. This makes it a barbaric practice that is completely unnecessary. One probably needs ten times more meat to fatten a cat than the cat is going to provide after having been slaughtered.
India tells West to stop eating beef By Dean Nelson in New Delhi 2:44PM GMT 20 Nov 2009 The environment minister, Jairam Ramesh, said if the world abandoned beef consumption, emissions would be dramatically reduced and global warming would slow down. "The solution to cut emissions is to stop eating beef. It leads to emission of methane which is 23 times more potent than carbon dioxide," he said. "The best thing for us, India, is we are not a beef-eating nation. The United States, the world's largest emitter along with China, is also the world's greatest beef-eating nation and consumes 25 per cent more than Europe. Hindus are forbidden to eat beef and India has more vegetarians than any other country in the world. More than 30 per cent of its 1.1 billion people do not eat meat at all. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...422/India-tells-West-to-stop-eating-beef.html November 16, 2012 14:13 India textbook says meat-eaters lie, cheat and commit sex crimes In India, a children's health textbook claims meat-eaters "easily cheat, lie, forget promises and commit sex crimes."
