Addiction to ultra-processed foods?

    Most of the foods especially here in the US is processed. Cereal is junk food compared to Irish Oatmeal or British Porridge. Even the Oatmeal that Quaker Oats sells is junk food compared to the way Irish or 19th century Americans used to make it.

    I remember reading Deconstructing The Twinkie by the founder of America's Test Kitchen. It's just the old sponge cake but rebuilt so it stays fresh in the supermarket aisle and is full of very unnatural fats.
     
  3. And how is that? Quaker makes steel cut as well as rolled oats. Personally, I only buy their oat bran, which is better than whole oats because it's more concentrated.

    I was mainly referring to their microwavable oatmeal. It barely even tastes like oatmeal.
