There was another story earlier this year about a kid who got suspended for eating his pop tart into the shape of a gun, i think if there is anything to be said here (besides that the teacher was a racist moron), it is that these schools with these zero tolerance policies are a fucking nightmare, we have literally removed any common sense from the teachers making the decisions anymore, we have a bunch of people teaching our kids who are too stupid to know that a pop tart or a clock is not a threat to other children.

laugh if you want, a murderous mother sent her psychopath child to school with a butter knife, supposedly to spread some substance in her lunch box on some bread. That was a close one. Thankfully an astute teacher noticed something was not right and suspended the student immediately.

  5. I don't expect much from public school teachers but this is making me reconsider the wisdom of arming them.

Couldn't they have talked to the science teacher before bringing in the SWAT team?

that would involve accountability. Once they report it, it is somebody else's problem.

If those are the real pictures of his clock... I feel bad for Ahmed if he had no idea that it could be mistaken for a bomb timer... but if my kids were in that school... I would have supported the teachers actions too. Its a tough situation... and judgments had to be made...

It went fricken beep, it looks like a bomb... and my kid was in the classroom... go ahead bring in jack bauer... then ask questions later.

I don't feel that bad. He'll be famous for life and have a really good story to tell or at least laugh about when he is an old man. There are some good lawyers in Texas that may get his college education paid for. My concern is that the teacher was so out of touch. I know when I was a kid if I walked in with a contraption like that and claimed it was a clock my teacher knew me well enough to know that I was up to some kind of mischief.

Not only the teacher was out of touch. The clueless administrators called the cops.

Someone deserves to be fired but it will not happen.
