You are simply a miserable person. There was more than just the one tweet posted. Nice try, but again, your reading comprehension is a FAIL.
There was a good blurb on the telly by a guy who put it succinctly on why the energy drain got so bad now, as opposed to a typical TX summer. It went something like this... "In the summer in TX, when it is 100 degrees outside, you want to cool your house down to 75. So that is a 25-degree difference. But during this storm, when it is 0 outside, you want to heat your home to 75. That's a 75-degree difference. So the energy required for that delta is much more in this event than during a typical summer."
Article's argument, summarized: 1. AOC has raised almost $5 million for the Texas disaster, in less than a week. 2. Few House politicians are able to raise $5 million even over two years of campaigning. 3. The ability to raise money is a good measurement of political power. 4. House democrats now politically courting AOC.* AOC has become remarkably powerful. The stunning political power of AOC *The underline is there only to separate the premises from the conclusion.
Also not everyone has their AC on when it is hot or runs it all day.. When it drops to 25F..everyone has their heat on and almost non-stop.
Let's see where AOC is ranked by the Center for Effective Lawmaking - Oh, 11th from the bottom for Democrats in terms of effectiveness of House members. What does she do all day? Ever notice that the legislators on both sides of the aisle who spend the most time on social media and trying to grab headlines are the most useless and ineffective legislators. They may be "social media darlings" but they are worthless in serving their constituents. As examples of worthless legislators on the GOP side of the aisle, I give you Jim Jordan (ranked third from the bottom of Republicans) and Matt Gaetz (ranked in the lower 25% of Republicans). They have the same problem -- they spend endless time engaged in grabbing headlines and social media... while doing next to nothing. ===================================================== Well maybe AOC can tell us what she is going to do about all the kids in cages at the border now that Biden is in office. She seems to have become very silent on the subject after endlessly making a fuss about it when Trump was in office.
How many Freshman Congressman are heads of committees or have a high seat of power on any committee? Your list of most effective Congressmen does not include ANY Freshman. Of the 96 freshmen in the 116th U.S. House of Representatives, we found that 25 exceeded expectations as lawmakers. Does AOC sit on any committee that overseas immigration laws or policies? Then what law is she supposed to pass. She sponsored 29 bills and co sponsored about 300 more, sounds about right for a freshman Congressmen stuck on the low spot in numerous committees. Here is one of her best bills sponsored: 1. H.R.8019 — 116th Congress (2019-2020) Inhabit GWB's Brain Act of 2020 Sponsor: Rep.
