Asian students hiding their ethnic identity- thanks to progressives

  1. What cultural animosities are you referring to? The 100 years or so Blacks, Jews, Hispanics and others were excluded from being accepted into top universities no matter what their scores were?

A university is looking to ensure that admissions is not only fair but is a representation of the population that is outside its doors, as long as hte applicants meet the standards set by the school. You are stuck in the limited mindset that its GPA and SAT when it has been repeated countless times that schools look at numerous factors (not race) to assess a student's academic ability to not only thrive at the university but add something to the school.

You think Harvard accepts 2000 robots with 4.5s and 1580 GPAs? The 4.5 is impressive but you can take numerous classes that teach you to ace a standardized test and for someone with a 4.5, I can see them getting a high score. But colleges are realizing a SAT score does not translate into success in college by itself. Other factors are relevant.

You think Harvard wants 2000 Economics majors or Political Science majors?

For the kid who got rejected.....what were his extracurricular activities? What did his essay look like? DId he have a job or internship? Was he involved in community groups or leadership roles? Did he play an instrument or a sport competitively? Were his classes challenging or did he took pussy AP classes to boost his GPA?

    Do you know?

  2. YES.....man you either have no children, no desire to research or never talked to college admissions counselors...

If a kid did nothing but study al 4 years and got good grades but got involved in nothing else, they dont look attractice to college counselors in many ways. They will get into a really good school but they wont be accepted by all simply because of SAT.... its a fucking standardized test.

Perfect SAT is meaningless on its own.... you will never understand until you get that. WHy do you think schools are considering doing away with the SAT. You dont think a smart kid who takes 2 Princeton Review classes and spends a year studying can ace that test? The test is basic high school math and reading comp. Challenging for most but not really bright kids.

Ok... but I thought we were talking about (why not remove) the ethnicity question from the entire process. Or at least I was.

  4. How are high schools in black communities coming along with preparing black students for college by giving them SAT prep courses if- as you allege- it is so easy to do a little work and "ace" the tests. Oh, I see.

It is easier to just drop the standardized tests. It is part of the dumbing down of America.
I would like to see the teachers standardized tests too. No one is saying that they are everything but they are something. We are carrying forward entire generations who cannot read and write and think that we fought Vietnam in the American Revolution. Just keep dumbing everything down. First it was grade inflation. Everyone gets an A. Now it is let's eliminate standardized testing, and let's eliminate grading or any indication that you have any measurable skills because that is all white colonial legacy culture. Who is asking for all of that?
Certainly not the Asians. They need to get off the Dem Plantation.

Of course one can- and many do- make the case that if students are just going to be getting A's no matter what they do and the SAT and other tests are no indication of how they do in their Transgender Studies program then why have them. It is part of the overall dumbing down. Next step is to just award degrees to certain minorities without even going to college or doing any work any accomplishment- just as form of reparatons. Again, the Asians will not be asking for that.

Korean and Chinese kids are learning programming and advanced math in first and second grade. Chicago inner city kids never will and are busy trying to figure out why heather's mommy has a dick. It is all part of the overall collapse of the educational system. If you can't fix it, dumb it down.

Just to correct the record here, the education system and educational attainment has INCREASED in America in the past 5 decades. America’s children are much more educated and capable today than in previous generations. For example you can find this in the SAT scores:

  6. Yes. Except on the Dem Plantations.

Also, SAT scores are the result of the population taking them. There are entire segments of school population that will never take SAT scores and are about to graduate without even being able to read and write. If they did take the SAT it would not be pretty. Many of their teachers have very poor academic skills too. That is why they and their unions fight tooth and nail any standardized testing of teachers.

Much of America has worked very well.

Your ilk want to change that. And you have improved American cities to the point where many are no longer liveable.

  7. Vivek knows how to play the game.

He went to Harvard on a Soros scholarship then rejected all things Soros afterwards. Yeh. That's a guy who plays three-dimensional chess right theya.

The scholarship funds were actually from a fund that Soros's brother runs/ran. But same team.

I can tell you right now, as a parent with a kid in HS, you wouldn’t break 1,000 on today’s SATs. The math alone the kids are doing in HS today isn’t even in the same league as 10-20 years ago.

  10. Most of the gains in math and reading scores across the country for the last couple decades have been erased by the school lockdowns.

Another scam brought to us by the dems.
