  5. Future wannabe President apologizes already.

Jeb Bush Is Sorry For Insulting The French For Their Work Week
    "I apologize."

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush is très désolé for mocking France's work week during the CNBC presidential debate last week.

During the GOP debate, the former Florida governor took a dig at the French in attempt at criticizing 2016 rival Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for missing votes in the U.S. Senate.

"I mean, literally, the Senate -- what is it, like a French work week?" Bush asked Rubio. "You get, like, three days where you have to show up?"

Bush said Tuesday he's since realized his remarks were unfair to our Revolutionary War allies.

"I made the mistake of saying that the Congress operates on a French work week—I really did a disservice to the French," Bush told reporters in New Hampshire, according to Time's Zeke Miller. "I now know that the average French workweek is actually greater than the German work week. ... So, my God, I totally insulted an entire country -- our first ally -- that helped us become free as a nation! And I apologize."

first the cronies order the left via dodd frank to steal the appraisal and mortgage lending business from smaller businesses and individuals while doing a bit of controlling of the banks. (for show)

then after destroying the competion... the right comes along and removes the regulations.

its this old destroy the competition with leftist regulation tactic.
you lefties fall for it all the time and think big govt is good...

and the small business man and the real economy suffers.

I find it stalinesque and you would too if you lefties opened your eyes to the patterns.

Do you how bad the appraisal industry has been hurt by this nonsense.
Do you know how many loan people are out of the business.

Why? They were just selling a product the Wall Street bankers made for China to hide their dollars without breaking the peg.. And the federal reserve later switched them out into bonds.

One big scam for bonus money.
this was your teams paymasters rigging the game. And Obama went after none of them.

  7. Now lets imagine everything has been the same for the past 7 years. Everything except one thing. It's a republican administration. You think the media just might be a wee bit interested in asking why the fuck not one single person can be found to prosecute? Why the "evil rich" continue to make billions in the stock market, while poor old Joe Lunch Bucket lost his ass and still gets fucked on and off the job, assuming the poor bastard has a job. You think the bought and paid for cocksuckers in the media might have a fucking question or two for the evil republican overseeing the whole scam?
We have the great emperor Obama sitting on the throne, so it's dummy up, circle the wagons when necessary, and just outright lie if that's what it takes. Gee, what could possibly be causing all the anger surrounding politics? If not anger, it's apathy, and who can blame the apathetic? Average Joe is getting hosed no matter which criminally corrupt party is in power.

  8. Rubin and Summers are Republicans? that's news to me...

"In 1997, Rubin and Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan strongly opposed giving the Commodity Futures Trading Commission oversight of over-the-counter credit derivatives when this was proposed by Brooksley Born, the head of the CFTC. Rubin's role was highlighted in a Public Broadcasting Service Frontline report, "The Warning".[16] Over-the-counter credit derivatives were eventually excluded from regulation by the CFTC by the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000. According to the Frontline documentary, they played a key role in the 2008 financial crisis.

Arthur Levitt Jr., a former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, has said in explaining Rubin's strong opposition to the regulations proposed by Born that Greenspan and Rubin were "...joined at the hip on this. They were certainly very fiercely opposed to this and persuaded me that this would cause chaos."[17] However, in Rubin’s autobiography, he notes that he believed derivatives could pose significant problems and that many people who used derivatives did not fully understand the risks they were taking.[18]

Rubin and his deputy Lawrence Summers also steered through the 1999 repeal of the Glass–Steagall Act (1933), which had separated investment banking from the retail side. It allowed the banks to develop and sell the mortgage-backed instruments that became a principal factor in the financial collapse. In September 2011, the UK Independent Commission on Banking released a report in which it recommended a separation of investment and retail banking to prevent a repeat of the 2008 crisis.[19]". I assume this is because it is insulting to claim that the French actually work
    ?

(P.S. - I worked at Alcatel in both France and Germany in the early 1990s. There is a world of difference in the work ethic between the two countries.)

I was working for AT&T at the time and we had a large presence in Holland (having bought the old Phillips manufacturing company earlier) and a few hundred people scattered in Belgium, France, Germany, etc. Not only we Americans were working MUCH harder than our European colleagues, but, every time there was a budget hiccup we had to fire Americans because of the European over-protective laws laws. Which was creating significant animosity between the two groups. Friends of mine who are still working for Alcatel-Lucent tell me that the disparity continues. Oh well.

I remember the advice that was given to those of us that were sent to working meetings with our sales teams in Paris, all of whom were local hires: "get everything you need to accomplish done in the morning, because, after the French go out to lunch and drink lots of wine, they can't really focus on anything in the afternoon..." :)
