It is projected that more deaths will occur from guns in 2015 than from prostate cancer.
    http://www.cancer.org/research/cancerfactsstatistics/

The gun death rate is on an upward trend. Lunacy!

Perhaps the prerequisite to owning a gun should be a 3 figure IQ ?
    Check this...

Why don't we discuss the horrible crime rate in the U.K.

UK Violent Crime Rate Eight Times Higher Than The US
    https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2013/09/11/uk-violent-crime-rate-eight-times-higher-than-the-us/

The most violent country in Europe: Britain is also worse than South Africa and U.S.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ry-Europe-Britain-worse-South-Africa-U-S.html

This is what happens when you take guns away from honest citizens and leave them helpless & easy prey for criminals.

"In 1997, IANSA banned handguns in England. After the ban violent gun crime went up 49%. For the first time in England criminals are carrying guns, the police had to trade their clubs in for guns and there are over 300,000 illegal guns on England's streets. For the population, England's violent crime rate is now 3.5 times higher than the U.S. thanks in part to IANSA."

"I am done arguing over this bullshit. Politifact.com is not a fact check site. It is a political propaganda site that attempts to further the conservative agenda. Politifact.com uses speculation, opinion and hearsay as facts. Those are not facts. In other words, they have redefined "facts" as anything contards believe is a fact regardless if true or not."

Oh god. The Daily Mail. It must be true :)

I'd rather take my chances walking in a dodgy neighborhood in the UK than a dodgy neighborhood in the US. Would you?

  7. That would almost be the equivalent of a gun ban among the gun-love community.

  8. Any correlation with "gun-related" deaths and a demographic group? Seems logical "auto deaths" would be spread across all demographics... but what about gun deaths? Are they concentrated in say.... "young black punks in da hood?" Gang members? What happens to the stats when those are excluded?

Maybe the problem isn't "guns", but rather "who uses them to commit crimes"?

Having worked in Leeds and Bradford. No, I would not walk a dodgy neighborhood in the U.K. They drove us in & out of Bradford in an armored car every day.

In all the U.K cities there were surveillance cameras everywhere and police camera vans regularly drove around. The police were actually afraid to get out and walk the streets. At least they would find out what criminal gunned you down after the fact - thanks to their pervasive nanny state.

Armored car! The risk of being shot whilst inside a car in the UK is minuscule. Nice that your company looked after you so well.

We all know full well the worst ghettos in US cities are more dangerous than anything found in the UK.

Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, Miami, ... vs Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Liverpool, ...

I do agree it is too much of a nanny state. Not that I like it, but CCTV does prove to be useful, for alerting and convicting.
