Don't forget the Democrats and Joe Biden forgot to thank the Chinese Communist Party for contributing to the Democrat politician's financial well being. Just like thanking your corporate sponsors?

  2. If only every interaction in the white house is a prepared speech with a teleprompter, Joe is all set. It is isn't.

I said long, long ago in the primaries that if Joe gets the nomination that God or Mother Nature or whatever would punish me by having to listen to Biden say in his acceptance speech: "As my father always said, Joey, a job is more than just a paycheck...it is your dignity, blah, blah, blah." And yup there it was last night, right on schedule. Pushing the same old schtick he has pushed for 50 years. The lefties feverishly giddy if their man can make it through a speech he has been working on at home for months and has a teleprompter.

The rest of the world is putting people who are at the top of their game in life in charge. Meanwhile the dems are attempting to put someone who is at the bottom of game in charge but not to worry if he can read a teleprompter.

In regard to the overdiscussed issue of Joe and Trump in a debate, I don't join with those who think that Trump will wipe the floor with Joe. Those debates seldom have any real debating in them and everything will be softbally. You approach it with the hope that it is a popcorn eating session while watching a gladiator fight. Then they start off making you listen to some video question from some kid in Teaneck, N.J. and the candidates pace the floor explaining why his grandmother in El Salvador should or should not be able to join them in Teaneck.

Or some network pretends to ask Joe the difficult question about whether he is fit, setting him up for the "just follow me around and watch me" line that we have heard a hundred times. Then the move on.

Put Joe out there freestyle on the trail though and he does not survive a day without messing up.

Joe Biden is too far gone to be President. If you and your theological buddy want to drink chamomile tea and ruminate about how Joe radiates an inner light that speaks to your sixth chakra then fine. But if he is elected his handlers will be running the president. He is just cardboard cut-out of a presidential candidate.

All of the countries that do not wish us well, and all of our domestic enemies as well- whether swamprats or looters- want Joe Biden to be president too.

All I was doing was giving some insight on Biden’s speech I haven’t seen in its coverage. I thought it was interesting how Biden framed his message.

I can also say he deliver the speech fairly well but it is received as an outstanding performance because Republicans set the expectations so low for Biden that him not collapsing in the middle of it proves Donals Trump’s entire campaign platform wrong.

You think Joe's doddering is the entire Trump campaign platform. Boy are you in for a surprise. That was just the low hanging fruit.

  5. Well, one of the parties has set low expectations for Biden's performance, we can agree on that.

Frigging Donna Brazille was acting as though Joe was the new William Jennings Bryan after Joe made it through to the end on the teleprompter. Of course she is also the one who said that Hillary did a great job in the debate knowing that she had already given her the questions in advance.

My expectation is that the Trump campaign will move away from attacks on Joe Biden’s mental fitness. Like I said it makes scoring points on Trump too easy for the Biden campaign and excuses him when he actually does gaffe and stammer. Joe Biden clearly can communicate where he intends to govern the country from.

If they’re smart they’ll use the GOP convention to point the campaign in a new direction. My guess is defund the police will be the main attack but they’ll probably drop the ‘law and order’ tag line - its really Nixonian and doesn’t work in modern America.

Other than that I expect a lot of excuse making for the last four years.

No one expected Joe to shit his pants (there are Depend for Men, you know) or to fall over like a drunk during the speech.

He read really, really, really well from the teleprompter. Good job, Joe. That doesn't mean he can handle anything Cardi B throws out at him.

As in, how many grandkids does Joe have? Even Joe doesn't know.

Kind of like John McCain didn't know how many houses he had. Something tells me the number of grandkids is actually more important to recall.

    Ahh
Ahh yes, Marianne Williamson the north star of political thought.

I caught the late night airing of the DNC convention and it is hard to deny the energy of a crowd and music was missing but it was also better on message.

I like conventions because there is a lot of inter party fighting and platform crafting. The current situation does not allow for that and it gives the candidates way too much control over the convention. I like to see democracy.

The republicans are up next. You’re complaining democrats were ineffective or whatever, let’s see what the GOP does with it. It’s going to hard to top Clint Eastwood talking to a chair though.

Why not? The echo chamber amplifies the Trump message to the point there are posters on this very forum that will swear from here to kingdom come Joe Biden has dementia.

It’s a trap republicans set for themselves.
