I think 90% charts are better looked at afterwards. Only 10% time they have any reliable predictive power. The key is to identify them for the 10% time, like yesterday afternoon.
Charting is an art form which comes with experience of studying charts. I've been looking at charts more intently since about 1990 and only a week or so ago found another simple way to interpret charts (doesn't include indicators) which I've found gives a clue on price strength. I remember as a young man when first rabbit hunting, after a while could spot a rabbit even if it was just an ear poking above the grass, so we train ourselves to observe.
