It was in support of the statement.
I have exgerated it a bit, by saying: that or... I understand there is no absolute.

Regarding the first part of your post, there are statistic that shows that we are getting less violent over history. Obviously individual cases rise, but that is because the population also rise, and as you state, the way we record it and report it does too. Otherwise, probably one of the few positive note, we are getting less and less violent over the years, pro capite.

That's because the system improved, not because our nature has changed. Any crime, any political movement/ideology that could disturb/harm our current state of modern society, is being reacted to and dealt with much faster. But i doubt that there's some significant changes in our emotional responses, or for that sake in general intelligence.

What kind of changes and where would they lead ?

There have never be so many agressive acts and agressive behavior as the last few years.

    Islam terrorism.9/11
    Riots in the US.
    Attack on the Capitol.
    Russia invading Ukraine.
Russia liquidating opponents no matter in which country they are.
Russia and China influencing/manipulating elections in other countries.
China using heavy violence in Hong Kong.
Myanmar army killing hundreds of people.
    Hacking/phissing on internet.
North Korea threatening with nuclear weapons.
    Iran threatening with nuclear weapons.
    etc...

The world is now more unstable and unsecure than it was the last centuries.

    Monetary system?

This is all new and debatable, not set in stone. If someone explain something clearly, I might change my mind, that is why I might like a post that contradicts me.

This fact alone, should be an end for any upcoming attempts/statements/hypothesis/dreams of BTC being some kind of equalizer.

Pareto's Law looks like a childs play next to this ratio.

Last centuries? Well... I am not so sure. You couldn't walk the street of most big cities a couple of hundred years ago.
You would be killed for being gay, or albino. Slavery, I understand we have modern day slavery but it does not compare.

Each change creates opportunities. Unfortunatelly not only good opportunities.
Criminals analyze each change and try to make money from it.

Selling fake vaccines, selling investments in crypto's or binary options...

My intuition tells me that it is not impossible that a small group tries to take over control over the entire world by using BTC (and other crypto's).
First they create "money" out of nothing.
Next step is to convince people only to use BTC. They do that by pumping BTC. The BTC are controlled and their value is defined by that small group. People will buy BTC because they are greedy and want to become rich. That is what the whales want.

If BTC would be recognized as a payment solution, several people who created BTC would become billionaires without ever having done anything but deceiving people.
