I think the people that do this by choice are living creatively, kudos to them. There is a problem with affordable rent and instead of just bending over and giving up 50% of pay for a bed, they live alternative lifestyles. Im in British Columbia and this lifestyle is all around. Its not just for the poor or sick. Its a lifestyle choice. Not everyone has to follow the same path... School, debt, job, wife house and kids and then 9 to 5 till 65. I guess this is a way out for some. This is a good youtube channel about this scene in Vancouver.

What about basic neccessities like running water and electricity? Yes, some people join gyms or use charities, but what about those with children and especially small children?
Well, some these people did live in their cars, rather than in RVs, which are vehicles though not technically cars.
