The one child policy issue is not really a driver today anymore. 51% male vs 49% female, in the US it's 51% female 49% male. Statistically not relevant. The issue outside the West that your life is determined what you are born into is much more relevant imo...

  2. My mother can tell you, there is a much lower life expectancy for males. Older women have a tuff time competing for partners in the west.

No one really knows...it's China...can't trust data from any official Chinese source. On average, it might be closer to even, but that's only because women live longer than men so at older ages, there's more women. Opposite is true for under 30:

So, whose numbers on gender representation in China do you instead trust?

I know it's worse than whatever the official stats claim it to be. Guess I'm just going by all the articles I see on the subject and assuming that given the apparently large number of unmarried, frustrated men, there's probably some truth to it:

  6. Isn't that a major problem in the US? Even the Will Simp the Chimp is frustrated with the woman he has to share with everyone.

Ultra liberal media who try to attack China whenever they can? That's not a source, I choose the official sources. By the way the numbers your links cite all agree with the official numbers. 30 million more men than women = 51% vs 49%. Typical example how to blow up a statistically insignificant anomaly.

I did not know that ultra liberal media like Disney (they own ABC) try to attack China whenever they can. Interesting.

You can't trust Chinese data. Again, it's the age demographics of that gender discrepancy. Women live longer and one child only started about 40 years ago.

We need to disagree here. I rather put my stock in more reliable media outlets and they have men to women at 51% to 49%

Ironic. Disney does tons of business in China.

Almost as if they are completely spineless...
