I can't believe the Euro run-up late in the session. I've been long so I'm not complaining. But still I managed to make decent damage earlier during my intermittent insanity episodes.
Good morning 8Am here in dismal Moscow...what's on the plate for today? Shorting the Aussie at .758 target .7540. Also short Euro at 1.3310 (this one might be painful - close stop loss). Target 1.326 4cast calling for a little more correction in EUR and "quite a bit more" in AUD. There aren't scalps. I'll hold them for about 8 hours - right up to the US open - or until target is hit. Good luck! -Ivan
Er...180 seconds later it's halfway to my EUR target, tempting me to take profit. Must...not...fold. Must hold....to target. Must...resist.
Quit bragging! Just kidding... nice trade. You could always compromise: take partial profit and let the rest run. I had been short AUD/USD but my timing was absolutely horrendous: I basically got in right before it made that brief surge upwards and got stopped out; didn't have the guts to get back in. One of these days, I'm going to learn to trust myself...
Thanks, Steve. But that's exactly why I don't compromise. Every time I do, I regret it (well not every time, but you know). I've learned that having the discipline to see your targets through is more profitable than second guessing. Just my style. Follow whatever works for you, though - don't listen to me
The markets truly are amazing: you could take a group of traders, find none trade the same way and yet find they're all profitable. Now, I just need to find what works for me... lol. I'm getting there....
I think if everyone traded the same way, no one would make or lose money (or everyone would make money) as it would be so predictable you'd never need to forecast.
is going on with cable ? eur or jpy crosses ? or just general weakness? was long ... ona cross with euro lost some there ... then went short cable ... made back most of it
