Climate Change 2 - its also the submarine volcanoes

  1. The burden of proof is on the denialists to show how the 40% rise of one of earth's most important greenhouse gasses could NOT cause warming.

Um...doesn't it have to be below "freezing"?

Yes, but not by much. Big snows require a lot of moisture.

  4. And so of course the amount of moisture falling on us is getting larger. Precip events are releasing more precip, as theory would predict.

There is a measure of heat content in the atmosphere that is called enthalpy. Two samples of air at equal temps may not have the same enthalpy. Heat content is a product of both temp and water vapor content.

Enthalpy(heat content) of the atmosphere is higher than it has been in at least one thousand years.

And Spring is coming two months early here. Perennials are coming up, trees are budding, and I've got a lot of work to do much sooner than I thought I would.

    But it's awfully nice outside.:D

  6. If that is true, all I can say is, you suck. Cabin fever is setting in here. :)

where I live its been warming since the last ice age as history would show.
when we stop warming and start cooling no one really knows.
maybe we have already started cooling.
one thing we do know is that change in co2 levels follows change in ocean temps.

We do know global warming would be preferable to global cooling because we need more co2 if we are going to feed the planet.

So it's pretty much like every February in North Carolina since I moved there in 1990. Soon I will have to start mowing the lawn.
