Even facing Trump Biden only won The EC by less than 45,000 votes, and thats when he was leading Trump by 7 points in the polls, now he is behind Trump and Desantis. When he come into office his net approval was + 20,now its -14.

He had those good numbers when he started and only won The EC by 44,000 votes. If he could barely eek by with a net approval of + 20 and leading 7 in the polls hes in trouble with a net approval of -14 and behind in head to head polls. And thats not even factoring West who will take black and progressive votes from him.

    Are you?

"Dem" senators who had no reason to budge. Why would they, it's been w/o consequences for them. Biden and leadership treat them as honest actors in negotiations and speak highly of them.

Not sure if serious. Trump had wall funding in the bag but Miller derailed wall for DACA negotiations.

And many virtue signaling bills are introduced w/the full knowledge of a failure in the senate just to appease the mob. Sending DOA bills to the senate w/no follow through, no insistence, no public statements, nothing, is a fart in the wind.

Of course the NYT is going to spin it. What are they going to say? "Biden throws Union workers under the bus to avoid worsening surging inflation and supply chain woes"? You should read the "historic victories" of this debt ceiling bump......for a laugh anyway.

Obviously you didn't read the NYT article, its rather critical about how Biden didn't go full Howard Zinn which of course he didn't.

Yes, the point is that you cannot bully every politician in your party to submission. You think otherwise without addressing the politicians I keep talking about.

    Lieberman, Manchin, Murkowsky.

    What's common among them?

Yes, if only Biden hurt their feelings, suddenly they will tow the line instead of not voting for even the routine bills, just set them aside so you can fight Republicans with 48 senators on even Judicial confirmations.

    Great strategy! Cornel West FTW.

In September 2017, USA Today took on the laborious task of surveying every member of Congress to determine their position on Trump’s wall. At the time, the White House was requesting $1.6 billion to begin wall construction. The survey found that just 69 of the 292 Republicans in Congress said they supported Trump’s funding request. Three outright opposed it, but the majority avoided answering the question directly.

11 Senate Republicans voted to block Trump’s border wall emergency declaration

What is new about this? It takes a lot to get bills passed, this is what progs never understood.

You tell me. I know of no one that thinks Manchin is negotiating on a genuine belief system.

yes, democrats, never take a risk on the off chance someone goes full DINO, just trash your numbers by being perpetual pussies instead. Judicial confirmations are stalled anyway because Biden/Pelosi sticking to "the norm" hasn't pushed a borderline vegetative Feinstein to the curb.

The dreamact for wall funding was 2018. The emergency declaration was borderline unconstitutional and after dream for wall negotiations had imploded.

or they're saying 'how 'bout a show of support' or some follow through?

If Trump's, or whoever the nominee is for the GOP is smart... they'll donate a bunch of their pac money to Cornel.
And unlike Bernie, he's not gonna quit for the good of the DNC nominee.
He's gonna get all those Bernie votes.
    Go Cornel! :p

Yes, everyone knows that, he is playing the Conservative for his constituents. Why is he gonna support progressive policies, let alone publicly when they are not even close to passing?

They are stalled now, they weren't stalled in 20-21 which is why there are 100 plus federal court judges under Biden.

Republicans in Congress were never for the wall, that's the bottomline.

Basically you want ads and marketing, you don't want to pay attention to the legislative process yourself.

Progressive policies? I am talking about Biden's agenda. How's that "playing to his constituents" going to work out for him in the upcoming election? If he's even running for another term and not being coy about spoiler for office.

It's a simple majority on senators present. Send Lindsay & Rubio on vacation/assignment abroad if Sinema or Manchin want to be cute.

Republicans in Congress were for whatever Trump told them they were for, that's the bottom line. Still are to a large degree.
    Flip flops on:
    Social security
    Government handout trumpbux
    protectionism and tariffs on China
protectionism and tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and EU
and yes, even the wall. As if republicans ever told the truth to some pollster. Public statements often were in line w/Trump's chants.

I want politicking and that involves being an effective salesman/statesman that plays hardball to get the numbers for said legislative process. You want to just cross your arms and accept defeat because the WH's did so and told you they tried.

I am talking about agenda that's stuck in the Senate because of Manchin, what has Biden got to do with this?

No wonder progs are disappointed, such clever solutions for eternal problems.

'Just send the Republicans on vacations'

    That works for sure.

But the funding for wall didn't pass, the poll has to be accurate. Trump was defied on it's funding which proves that even with someone so unstable, it's not so easy to get things passed.

How do you know they didn't try? Should they broadcast their failure for everyone to know? Did Obama detail his meetings with Lieberman every time?
