I and others obviously dispute your conviction about those groups uniformity hating Biden all that much they are willing to let Trump back in. He who will purge judges etc and finish democracy there, cut the golden thread as it were. Progressives at times remind me of Irish Republican Army types back when I was born who convinced themselves that just blowing it all up because gradual change was not floating their boat and screwed things up for a long time was right. Had cooler heads prevailed the world changed around Northern Ireland apartheid/sectarianism anyway but the fighting had so much momentum many suffered for years more than would have. There is a personality type attached to this. Maybe I exhibit it sometimes myself but I was guided by older wiser people. There was a time when I was ready to catch a lot of mining company execs and make drink them cyanide they had poachers put in waterholes. Shipping back containers of African beastie's bits to China had become a nice bonus for them. Four years of killing myself and I was so dispirited. However I had a good talking to and understood they would just be replaced. I had to look at this over decades and probably past my own lifetime until the world was ready to let the elephants and such live. We would bank the DNA and keep the ones we could alive to preserve their complex behaviours, study them. Beyond my huge democrat volunteering circle its consistently in the polls. Biden is 7 points lower than he was at this point in 2019,and he didn't have a candidate like West that will take around 4-5% of the vote ,many from previews Biden supporters such as myself.Biden is 30 points lower than Obama and Clinton blacks.His approval with hispanics is in the 30s.Progs and blacks have showed they will vote Green or stay home if they don't like the dem candidate,and they don't like Biden. Personally I hate Biden and Trump and basing my opinion on polls and political circle,which has been right about presidential elections with the exception of Hillary losing The EC(but correctly predicting a popular vote win) since 2008.The years with an an incumbent polling is even stronger due to the undefeated record of incumbents and approval ratings.
I think the possibility of being played needs to penetrate a bit deeper into progressive heads. If they are now certain Joe played them, maybe they are just easily played and the other side is at it now. I'm sure I don't know as many activists as you do but I do know a few. Sharp guys, one has been asked to run a democratic campaign in some state like Iowa or nearby but... Blinkered as fuck too. It was quite a shock to the IRA when they learned that British Intelligence had seeded so many agents and turncoats it was hard to know how long they were corrupted or who was actually IRA any longer. This raised a lot of legal issues too as British Intelligence were doing shady stuff to make cover. But hey, me having a feeling this won't end well won't change anything.
For progs and blacks things dont end well or change with Biden or moderate dems anyway.Thats why after voting Dem dem my entire life the decision to longer do so wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.Bidens presidency has provided the strongest moment of clarity for millions of prog and black voters imo.
Roe is overturned,there is no universal healthcare,The SC is 6-9 GOP,no police reform,no free state college,republicans keep their House gerrymandering and low population state Senate advantage, taxes on the rich are lower than ever etc. All of the above could have been prevented or changed in 2021 or any other time when Dems had The WH and both Houses of Congress.The Dem party has played me for decades.
