Could Someone Tell me What these guys are protesting... specifically

  1. I would rather have a colonoscopy without anesthesia.

Sports is far enough in my rear view mirror that i don't know anything about Bob Costas other than he's been around forever, is well spoken, and is well respected. He may have voted for Hydrogen Killbury, but since he's been gone for a while, i wouldn't know that. So i took his statements on this issue at face (un-bigoted) value.

Far as i can tell, you've described the qualifications of the last four presidents and the last two contenders.

Since nobody will read farther than the words "Bob Costas", i'll recommend the statements of "Kinghuman", who felt compelled to weigh in on this issue, in his usual entertaining way.

Kinghuman is not a Napoleon complexed, narcissistic blabbermouth at all! So listen up and donate to a children's charity!

    Anyway, the issue-of-protest is migrating/evolving.

    It started about police brutality.

It may have evolved into a protest of, or recognition of: national brutality on the world stage.

Trump is now in charge of whether the nation will continue to wage national brutality on the world stage, or take a more defensive, more honorable posture.

While Trump appears to take the former position, the protest will start go against Trump, when, in fact, it started about police brutality.

Trump has put himself in the middle of it to the extent that he realizes the protest is evolving to include national brutality on the world stage...at which point he starts to take it personally.

Note well: All NFL players play by a strict set of rules. They look around and see that too may police officers are NOT playing by the rules. The look around and see that maybe even our nation isn't playing by the rules. Should we be surprised they may say something?

  5. This whole depressing episode has echoes of the DACA fiasco. Many, even on the alt right, were mildly sympathetic to the plight of the so-called Dreamers. Then the democrat hate machine went into overdrive, demonizing anyone who was not fully on board with a broad amnesty. Dreamers showed their deep gratitude to the country that gave them tens of thousand in free education and welfare by cursing us and giving us the middle finger. Attitudes hardened. Suddenly, Trump's base drew a line in the sand over any amnesty for these ingrates, many of whom are gang members and criminals.

The NFL made a similar mistake by going all in with the kneelers. They could as easily have sent down an edict from league HQ that everyone will stand and anyone who doesn't will be suspended. That would have been the end of it, but it would have disappointed the Trump haters and media SJW's. So now the league finds itself in a deep hole of its own making, with fans alienated at best and many furious. They even managed to publicly humiliate an American hero, Steelers tackle Alejandro Villanueva, pressuring the former Army Ranger and Afghan vet into a Marxist public apology for doing the right thing.

Donahue is a bigger asshole then Trump..he use to be on O'reileys show back in the day when all the pedophile priest's were getting outed, he'd try to protect the church and Billy Boy would have none of his BS.

I saw one of those shows... I don't remember O'Reilly's stance as much as I remember being sickened by Donohue's argument.

    but my view is unorthodox.

I believe there should be married priests and that most if not all of the cardinals, bishops and probably the pope should be ousted.

The Catholic Church has hardly been a positive force in human history. Getting reprimanded by something called the "Catholic League" is probably a good thing.
