might be shootin myself in the foot this week...... long since numb to that pain......

    started off flat.......

assuming a ratio of account balance / Return (since inception)...... or Return (since inception) / account balance.....

not sure which to use so will use both......

depending on point of view, current ratio is

    1101/1166 ...... 0.94425
    or
    1166/1101....... 1.05903

    (332) ......

dangit ..... screwed up while writing this...... daily target closed my trades....... forgot it was set a 1000......

all trades closed at +1000 which caused this change in the ratio...... now 1102/1173......

where 1,102,***.00 is new account balance and 1173 is return since inception.....

increased the daily target to 5000.....

once those close i will check the ratio..... my prediction is 1107/1200 ......

at that point i will again double daily target......

goal is to find the saturation point where new trades have no effect.....

darwin's risk engine should say enough is enough.......h

in the above ratio, use account balance only if no open trades.....

if open trades, substitute account equity value......h

    //--

finally was able to force the multiplier to 1...... not understanding the full effect of what i was doing, i over shot the reduction......

much like some moving averages over shoot, the risk multiplier must be based on a past certain number of days......

to see the effect, click on live trades as shown here in how to interpret live trades......

my original multiplier was 2.53, now .58 and falling...... and still, darwin is out producing me even when their trades are 0.58 mine.....

that makes no sense....... obviously i'm missing something simple...... or complex...... maybe i'm confused on the term, darwin risk......

for sure this brings to mind ingio montoyas phrase, you keep using that word, i do not think it means what you think it means......

going to push the risk multiplier back above 2......h

calling it a week...... still way short on making the required 5% for the additional 100k....... doubt i will make it this month......

unless things fall apart next week, the next 30k is well secured....... that will make it 90k total......

if earnings was the goal, you would need at least 2,000,000.00 in funding...... fat chance of that happening for me......

as mentioned before, my goal is to use darwin to teach me to be a better trader......

    it will...... it has.....h

how could that be done..... to intentionally force darwin to raise my multiplier back above 2.......

numbers are subject to manipulation.... both good and bad manipulation ...... examples below.....
    //-----

    starting with bad manipulation......

suppose someone had 143 losing trades totaling -46,616$ with an average loss of -325$.....

suppose he intentionally took 143 losing trades, -5$ each , for a total of -715$ ......

the result would be his average loss was almost cut in half..... now -165$...... a shallow point of view might be he looks much better......

we could expand on that but the point is bad manipulation......
    //-----

admitting upfront , i'm fixin to intentionally manipulate the numbers...... for a good reason......

going to push the risk multiplier back above 2......

again, how could that be done..... it would help knowing exactly how the risk multiplier is calculated...... i don't......

the length, also called duration, of the trade may be a component...... not sure...... if so, cutting the average length in half might help.....

i am not going to fiddle with the average losing trade duration...... currently 17 hours and 34 minutes..... that would be bad manipulation.....

i will attempt to lower the average winning trade duration..... currently 7 hours and 17 minutes..... need to explain reasoning later.....

also perhaps by lowering my average var and d leverage would help raise the risk multiplier..... again, not sure.....

to do all the above, i must cut my charts timeframe to a point where the signals double or more......

not so low as to be considered scalping......h

  6. I understand and respect that your goal here is educational, but aren’t those same educational benefits available (and perhaps more easily) from far less complicated things than Darwinex Zero? Am I really alone - after having quite a good look - in finding the whole thing astonishingly complicated and frankly very difficult to understand?

hey probability...... thanks for the reply......

my goal is not educational, it is simply a journal...... so many say, keep a journal..... it seems to help me......

as far as being alone, i think it is the other way around...... you are probably with the crowd...... it is me that is alone.......

and yes absolutely, darwinex seems complicated...... strange though , complicated type quests appeal to me.....

and yes absolutely again, the same, or better, educational material can be had at many sites i frequently use.....

none of those sites will set up a virtually funded trading account for us.....

like everything, darwin has pros and cons...... same could be said for apex trader funding...... and i'm a die-hard fan of apex......

neither darwin nor apex will appeal to everyone......h

Did Darwinex already give you the $100,000 permanent allocation that you paid a one-time fee for?

not yet...... need to make 5% first..... should have it made around december 15th.....

unless things turn upside down on me, another 30k is secured for december 1st......

if i can trade better next moth, another 60 is well within reach......h
